How It Works
Canvas drop cloths (9x12 ft) are the gold standard — they absorb drips, stay in place, and last decades. Plastic is cheap but slippery and does not absorb paint (drips stay wet and spread). Paper/plastic combo is disposable and good for large areas. For edge-only coverage, lay a 3-foot wide strip along each wall. Canvas is worth the investment if you paint regularly.
