How It Works

Flat/matte hides imperfections but marks easily. Eggshell is the most popular for bedrooms and living rooms — slight sheen, reasonably washable. Satin is great for kitchens and hallways. Semi-gloss is standard for bathrooms and trim — very washable. High-gloss is for trim and doors only — shows every flaw but is extremely durable.
